Club Growth Update

The Club Growth team is continuing to work hard on chartering clubs and supporting our members. Please see the current updates below. I have also added an invitation below to join Jamie Richter and me at the upcoming Train the Trainer session on June 12—please sign up for this session if you would like to volunteer to lead sessions during our Club Officer Training Sessions for Round One of the 2021-2022 program year.

Club Growth

We have four clubs that are working toward chartering by June 30. A bilingual club (English and Spanish), A Toastmasters club for members of the co-ed business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, and an online club for alumni of Concordia College, Moorhead. And of course, we are excited about the great strides our Presiding Excellence Club is making – you can read more about Presiding Excellence below.

Upcoming Train the Trainer Sessions for Club Officer Training Round One
Well-trained club officers are equipped to enhance club quality, develop and lead successful teams, and thrive in the Distinguished Club Program. All of these abilities contribute to fulfill the club mission. Club officers dedicate valuable time and provide a tremendous service to Toastmasters.

When club officers are well-trained to perform their duties, club members are better served. This makes the member experience more positive, which leads to a quality club experience and increased member retention. Without properly trained leaders at every level, districts and clubs cannot meet members’ needs or introduce the benefits of Toastmasters to others.

We’re trying something New for the 2021-2022 Train the Trainer sessions. All Division and Area Directors should choose the Train the Trainer session that works best for them. We will offer our trainers a completely immersive experience during these sessions. By the end of our three-hour train the trainer, you will be equipped with all training materials, content, and activities needed for our round one club officer training.

Any Toastmaster interested in assisting with club officer training should attend one of these sessions as well.

Benefits of this format:

  • All Area Directors and Division Directors can experience the training first hand before moving forward with planning, coordinating, and conducting a training session.
  • During the train the trainer, we will cover the material, have time for participants to learn the reason WHY we’re training on a module and to ask questions.
  • Attending these sessions will help ensure more consistent training sessions for our club officers.

Train the trainer is offered for our District Leaders and anyone who has a passion for training. Simply register by clicking on the date below:

June 12 (after DEC) 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Warm regards,

Linda
