Position Descriptions

A district leader has one of the most important leadership roles within Toastmasters International. The success of the district, its clubs and the members within each club depends on how well the district leaders execute the responsibilities of their office. Below you will find all of the positions we have in our district. Browse through them to see if you would like to be a part of a team who plans to lead the District in the coming years. We certainly want you to rise up to the occasion. We want you to lead us to make District 6 even better! We would like for you to join our learning, practicing and growing community.

District Director

An elected position which counts toward fulfilling the Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) requirement of serving as a District Officer.

Program Quality Director

An elected position which counts toward fulfilling the Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) requirement of serving as a District Officer.

Club Growth Director

An elected position which counts toward fulfilling the Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) requirement of serving as a District Officer.

Public Relations Manager

An appointed position which counts toward fulfilling the Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) requirement of serving as a District Officer.

Finance Manager

An appointed position which counts toward fulfilling the Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) requirement of serving as a District Officer.

Administration Manager

An appointed position which counts toward fulfilling the Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) requirement of serving as a District Officer.

 

Logistics Manager

An appointed position which can be used to fulfill a High Performance Leadership (HPL) or Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) project

Immediate Past District Director

Position honoring last year’s District Director which counts toward fulfilling the Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) requirement of serving as a District Officer.

Division Director

An elected position which counts toward fulfilling the Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) requirement of serving as a District Officer.

Area Director

As area director, you serve as the direct liaison between the district and the clubs.

New Club Sponsor

A Club Sponsor works with a club from the initial demonstration meeting until the club charters.

New Club Mentor

A club mentor supports a new club during the first six to 12 months (after being chartered).

Club Coach

A club coach is an experienced Toastmaster who coaches a low member club (no more than 12 paid members) to rebuild membership and rejuvenate the club environment.

Club Retention Team

The Club Retention Team is looking for Toastmasters who are passionate about strengthening clubs and promoting member retention.

Club Growth Research Team

The Club Growth Team is looking for Toastmasters who are interested in identifying new potential clubs at the Division and Area levels.

Club Growth Kick Off Team

The Club Growth Team is looking for Toastmasters who are interested in assisting during our prospective club demonstration meetings.

Webmaster

The webmaster assists the district director and club growth director with updates to the district website.

Social Media Team

Looking for individuals who are interested in assisting our Public Relations Manager (PRM) with outreach campaigns and social media marketing and creation.
