Fall Reflections

Hello Fellow Toastmasters:

It has been an exciting Fall for District 6! As I visit clubs I see and feel renewed energy. I truly believe that this will continue. As places open up more, clubs are switching to hybrid from being online only. Guests are attending meetings and turning into new members! We have chartered 2 new clubs so far this year. Club officers are bringing new ideas/best practices back to their clubs from attending club officer training. The members of District 6 are completing Pathway’s levels and earning awards. We are all learning and growing as communicators and leaders.

Reflecting on my Toastmasters journey, I have been in Toastmasters for 13 years and have said yes to many opportunities to learn and grow as a communicator and leader. This summer and fall I have had the opportunity to help on the Club Officer Training Team. I said yes, helping lead a Breakout Room in a discussion. Now, I am presenting a session and learning to be a more engaging speaker. This is also something I am practicing in the speeches I give in my clubs. After 13 years still learning and growing!! Stretch yourself and encourage others to do the same. My wish for all members of District 6 is to be able to reflect at the end of the Toastmasters year on June 30, 2023, and know that you did indeed learn and grow as a communicator and a leader!

Wishing you all Happy Holidays.

With Gratitude,

Deb
