Happy Autumn, Toastmasters!

The leaves are turning colors and it is so beautiful – it is also a good change for the trees – they are adapting to the needs of the season and the changes they make now will make the trees healthy and ready to grow strong in the spring. They will be stronger, healthier trees in the spring because of the changes they are doing now in the Autumn!

Is your club ready to turn over a new leaf, too? Do you want to try new things and grow strong in the seasons ahead? If your club has under 13 members, we have coaches for you! Please let us know if you want a coach for your club. Now is the best time to get a coach!

Are you in a strong club with experience you would like to share? Now is the time to become a Club Coach, yourself. Yes!

You can feel great helping a club get stronger, using Pathways, and becoming a distinguished club! In a minimum of 6 months of coaching, you can succeed! Reach out to us to learn more about how to become a successful coach.

A coach who gets your club distinguished can qualify for the Phoenix Award and additionally, you’ll fulfill the coaching completion credit, which is one essential step toward accomplishing Distinguished Toastmaster.

To be a coach sign up now – we need coaches, and you could be our next coach! We want to get coaches with their clubs before January so they can succeed this year!

Learning coaching skills can help you with many aspects of life. Coaching can benefit you: from coaching yourself to personal goals to coaching skills to grow your career!

Please review our details on the Coach Program here, from our Distinguished Toastmaster and past Region Advisor Mary Swanson, who is our current District 6 Club Retention Chair:

From Mary Swanson, Club Retention Chair:

What is the Club Coach program?

The Club Coach Program allows experienced Toastmasters members to assist in rebuilding club membership and restoring club quality. A successful club coach will:

·         Build rapport with club officers and members

·         Instill enthusiasm, camaraderie, and structure within the club

·         Assess the club environment and recommend best practices for success

·         Work with club officers to develop a Club Success Plan

·         Motivate the club to strive for Distinguished Club Program (DCP) recognition

Coaches who help clubs achieve Distinguished status (or higher) in the Distinguished Club Program will receive credit in the education program and a digital certificate of accomplishment.

There is also club coach training from District 6 to help you be a successful coach!

Are you interested in learning more about the program? Do you want to serve as a Club Coach?

It is also a great season to host open houses! Welcome many guests to your club, think about hosting an open house, and then welcome your new members to the benefits of joining your club – building new friendships, growing personal and career skills, and learning and sharing together in your club meetings.

Cheers to a wonderful season ahead! Join our Coaching team or invite a coach to your club.
