Grateful

NEW YEAR

NEW

INSPIRATION

Dear Toastmasters,
A brand new year and new inspiration to get more things done! I hope this New Year 2021 is
starting off well for you. Today, I would like to thank you for all that you are doing for the growth
of everyone around you as well as yourself, and also share some ideas you could look into
trying out moving forward.

Balancing act
As I have gotten the opportunity to connect with a few of our members and leaders in our district, I understand there are a lot of things going on at the same time. We have our Area Directors and Division Directors focusing on club visits, club officer training and speech contests
at the same time. When we have many things going on at the same time, it can get a little overwhelming. We have things happening in our own lives as well. What a good opportunity we have here in Toastmasters to try to see how we can juggle things appropriately. It is a challenge, and everyone may have their own way of handling things. I simply appreciate all the time you are putting in to make things happen.

I would like to thank our Area Directors and Division Directors for trying the best they can to visit the clubs, lead club officer training, and work with club leaders on speech contests. Our organization is based on experiential learning and these interactions are what provide us just that. Thank you once again to all of our district
leaders including everyone providing support to our Area Directors and Division Directors.
Thank you for trying to and being able to balance everything that you’ve got going on in your
personal lives as well as in Toastmasters.

Share your knowledge
I have come across quite a good number of Toastmasters who are very knowledgeable about what has worked for them in becoming a better communicator and a better leader. You, dear reader, are likely one of those talented people. So, when you see another Toastmaster who could probably utilize that information from you, I request that you practice your quality evaluation skills by sharing with that individual the good they already have and how they can
possibly become even better. Explain how using the knowledge you have can enhance their ability to become an even better communicator and leader. You even have a way to share that knowledge all over the world. It is limitless.

Another vehicle would be submitting a blog for our District 6 website and sharing the link everywhere on social media. I am sure there will be many Toastmasters and individuals on the
internet who could learn much from you. Please refer to our blog section on the newly redeveloped website to submit what you know so we can share the knowledge and grow
together in becoming better communicators and better leaders.

I wish you a wonderful month of January as we all keep working together, celebrating excellence!
Yours humbly,
Susan Rajbhandari
