A Lifeline for Club Leaders

You have completed club officer training or perhaps you were busy and were not able to attend. Your year is in full swing, your Area Director has already attended or perhaps will attend soon and needs your input to do a full report on your club. Perhaps you are feeling a weight of responsibility and are unsure of a few responsibilities of your role. Hopefully this article will ground you in your confidence by pointing you to resources that are available to assist leaders.

District 6 leaders such as Ravi Rai and Susan Rajbhandari, and web administrators have spent many hours building our new District website. One primary goal has been to equip club leaders with resources, including many Toastmasters International website resources which have been affixed locally for quicker reference.

Across the top of the website are Tabs indicating main divisions such as Events where you will find the Calendar; Communications where you will find helpful articles (where you are reading this article), and past Newsletters; Programs of the Public Relations Manager; Resources for both members and leaders; and Our Team where you may contact your Area and Division Directors. 

Home Page: Get back to the home page at any time by clicking on the Toastmasters Logo! The Toastmasters.org international website also has the same feature.

Events – District 6 Calendar

Once on the d6tm.org page, to find any event, either click on the slider box main announcements featured on the home page, or click on the Events tab, then Calendar. Helpful instructions are at the top, including to start your search with Category. That drop-down will isolate events, e.g., Club Officer Training. Clicking List is the view that I find most helpful.

Clicking the main Resources Tab will give you section titles, among them:

The circle District 6 Distinguished Club Reports will take you to the dashboard where you will find statistics about your club’s progress in the program.
