A New Year and The Future is Bright!
Hello District 6,
It is hard to believe we are almost 2 months into a new Toastmaster’s Year! I believe it is going to be a great year and I am glad that you are a part of it!
As a District Leadership Team, we want to do everything can to uplevel the Member Experience so that the reason(s) why people joined Toastmasters can be realized in an even greater way. We want our members to truly feel cared for and supported in a greater way. What that looks like? We are on a journey of discovering that and doing it! If you have ideas or suggestions, please do not hesitate in reaching out to me, I genuinely want to hear from you!
On this journey, we are also looking carefully at what we have done over the last couple of years:
- What went well? Can we operationalize those things and make them a part of the new normal?
- What are those things that perhaps didn’t go as well as we had hoped?
- Can we adjust them for better outcomes or do we need to ditch them all together?
- Where did we drop the ball? While mistakes happen, what can we do to not drop those balls this year or in the future.
We are starting the year strong with great Division and Area Directors in place to serve the clubs in their respective Divisions and Areas. We want to go from strength to help the district step into its full potential.
Do you have an interest in using your talents and abilities to serve the members of District 6, please reach out to me and we will find a place for you to shine as you help take District 6 to the next level.
Are you passionate about your Toastmasters Journey and want to help make a meaningful difference in the lives of your fellow Toastmasters? Then, consider being an Area Director. It is a tremendously rewarding experience that will provide you with the district leader credit that you need for your Pathways DTM.
We need 7 Area Directors:
- 5 for Division B
- 2 for Division E – Areas E41 and E42
- Will you be one of them?
Area Directors must be appointed before August 31st to receive credit for their role.
We had a great Summer TLI with wonderful food, fun, and learning experienced by all!
