Club Officer Training Refresh

We have a Toastmasters Training Winter refresh. Here are the details! Like fresh peppermint, Winter brings to mind a crisp, fresh feeling of newness. District 6 is launching a new round of Club Officer Training this November with fresh, crisp ideas from you, the members.

→  We heard your feedback and we are listening.

  1. We are converting more training to the hands-on breakout room discussion time.   This will reduce the lectures to allow for more interactive discussion time.
  2. We will keep the total training time shorter (2 ½ hours) as that was a popular change,  but the shift from lectures to interactive learning time will shorten, not extend the sessions.
  3. We know we have members new to Club Officer Training and experienced members who already know the foundations of Club Officer Training, so we are splitting the training levels into Foundations Training and Advanced Training sessions.

You can choose your own training adventure!

You can take either Fundamentals training, Advanced training, or both, which all cover officer roles and earn you officer training credit.

Foundations sessions:

In November, we will focus on Foundations training sessions, and we will keep offering these  Foundations training sessions every month (November, December, January, and February)  . These will cover officer training essentials, Pathways, and Contests, and will have two breakout discussion portions. We will cover the materials all Club Officers need to know.

Advanced sessions:

We will launch new Advanced Club Officer training in December and offer advanced training sessions in January and February. We will cover new topics, such as Creating a Successful Team, implementing a Successful Mentor Program, Creating a PR plan, Hosting a Club Open House, Tools for Easy Agenda Planning, and more.

Advanced sessions will  cover the same topics but with an experienced Toastmaster perspective on Pathways, Contests, and officer roles, and these sessions will also have two breakout discussion portions.

→  Every Club Officer training session will cover the materials all Club Officers need to know this winter.

The specific agenda topics for every training session will be listed on the District 6 calendar day with the registration link, so you will know what you are signing up for.

Winter club officer training starts in November and goes through the end of February ~ See you there!
