Faster, More Convenient Learning Management System Interface

Fellow Toastmasters learners, I am keeping this article relatively brief during my.  The word “brief” reminds me of the improved speed and convenience I have seen from our updated Base Camp.

Level completion requests are now sent not just to the VP-Education, President, and Secretary, but to all officers, for approval by any of them.  This process also takes care of the credit toward the education points of the Distinguished Club Program.  I welcome observations and questions from any of you multi-club members regarding applying each award’s credit to the “correct” club.

I also like the monthly emails titled “Member educational activity summary,” which tell the VP-Education, President, and Secretary each member’s progress in their curriculum, whether speech or project completion, level completion, or other actions.  The details shown for each member include the project names and the Path(s) in which they have completed the activity.  There is a listing of members who have not completed activity during the month.  We realize that the reported absence of activity is not the final word: some members might be part-way through a project or working on some aspect of the project off-line.  As always, engaging each of your members about the specifics of their educational progress is vital.

I look forward to discussing the updated system and its features with many of you, whether in 1:1 discussions or in Round 2 officer training.
