Greetings from the 2024-2025 District 6 Pathways Chair

In previous requests to present on the wide-ranging subject “Pathways,” I’ve thought I can speak for as much as 7 hours.  Some audiences have given me as little as 7 minutes.  I now can summarize making Pathways work for each member with 7 words: aligning goals, preferred topics, and learning style.

I am honored to serve each of you toward optimizing that alignment.  I am deeply grateful to previous leaders of our District’s Pathways support, including Marvel Kummer, Brian Hinton, Jamie Richter, and many others.  I want to build on their skillfully delivered successes.

As you think about your goals, do you need help determining which paths or projects support those goals?  Let’s chat.

Regarding speech topics, fellow Toastmasters wisely say that if you can align your passion for a topic with what you want the audience to take away, you have the makings of a speech.  Need ideas, or have ideas you want to refine or validate?  Let’s chat.  Additionally, Jamie’s “Rock Your Path” series, available in d6tm.org/pathways, beneficially addresses this matter.

Regarding learning style, I need to avoid making this a 7-hour article!  I saw a demo of the new learning management system at the International Convention; I look forward to aiding your familiarity.  For resources overall, I won’t place here a long list of links from TI, District 6 or other Districts, YouTube, etc.  Tell me what suits your learning style, and let’s chat on selecting resources.  Would you rather complete Pathways projects in their exact order shown in the curriculum, or are you OK with going in a different order?  Go whichever way suits your learning style.  For help in either case, let’s chat.

I’m ready for a 1:1 discussion with you on aligning your learning experience with your path to success.
