Serving Our Members
How do we best serve our members? I think there are four things that we can focus on that will result in serving our club members.
1. Quality meetings
Does our club environment inspire everyone to do their best? Do our members have the tools they need to fulfil their roles in the meeting? Does every member get the most out of each and every meeting?
Use the Moments of Truth to see how well your club is doing. Complete the moments of truth at a club officer meeting, or with the entire club. Then look at the responses and create actionable goals for improving your club environment. Make using the Moments of Truth a yearly habit for your club. You will see the difference it will make each year!
2. Members meet their personal and professional goals through the Toastmasters Pathways Program
Are members enrolled in Pathways and are they Engaged? Do they understand how to best use the program to meet their educational goals?
3. Club officers are trained
When officers are trained, they have the knowledge to best run their clubs and help their members. Second round of officer training starts in November. Check the District Calendar for details.
4. New Members are coached
When your club gets a new member, are they immediately assigned a coach? A coach will help the member get signed into the TI website, and your club website and get the member familiar with how the club assigns roles. A coach can also help the new member with their first speech or two.
The District is here to help you succeed. We offer training and coaching in Pathways and can direct you to other resources to help you best serve your members. Many of these are discussed in club officer training, so be sure to attend!
