You want to communicate better with others. You try out a Toastmasters Club! You find a great group of people you are comfortable with. What is next? With Toastmasters Clubs you have a plethora of options. There are clubs for storytelling, media and tech options and you can learn about them at the District 6 Spring Conference which will take place April 28 & 29 in Bloomington!

I started out in my home club Spartan Speakers Wenell giving speeches about topics I either knew about or wanted to learn about. Learning is fun!  Meeting new people is even better!  You can learn about other areas of the city or of the country at the Conference or by attending other events outside of your regular meeting like the TLI (Toastmasters Leadership Institute) or participating in speech contests. Imagine learning about something new that you had never thought about!

One of my favorite topics is the Japanese Garden at Normandale Community College. Have you ever been there? Spring is a great time to visit the garden. What areas of town are you familiar with? I hope to see you at the Conference and find out!
