“Sharing our Stories Connects Communities,”  is our District 6 theme of the year.  We know the world has many challenges and I personally hope the Toastmasters community of clubs brings you positive experiences and connections, as well as skill building and networking.

I hope as you go to your Toastmasters clubs that you hear and share stories. Every time we share stories, we make connections to others. It is going to be a great year and we have many exciting plans. I would like to share a few plans below and more in each newsletter.

I am always seeing the connection that shared stories make between people. It is wonderful.

This year we have more clubs returning to in person meetings and this is wonderful to see!

We are still looking for Area Directors, so if you want to join our team and grow your leadership skills, please apply here:https://d6tm.org/position-descriptions/area-director/form-area-director-application-25-26/

We also have many online and hybrid clubs in District 6 so the District Executive Committee voted at our annual kickoff meeting to host the online contest this Autumn with the final in Spring, like we did last year.

In  the Spring, we will also host the in-person only contests for both International and Tall Tales Contests.

We are adding updated incentives this year which I will share in our next newsletter.  We will have rewards for new club leads, so share with us if someone wants to start a club here: https://d6tm.org/start-a-club-club-sponsor/

DCP points have already started so submit your Pathways progress and attend the summer Club Officer Training.  These accomplishments add up and we will give rewards for goals met before midyear, as well as membership growth goals and more!

Finally, the Exclusive Golden Gavel (EGG), the District 6 Golden Gavel goes from club to club, has started traveling. Read more here: https://d6tm.org/elusive-gilded-gavel/

I look forward to sharing our stories and connecting with you this you!

2025-26 District Director
