With fewer than 60 days remaining before the program year concludes on June 30, it may be tempting to slow down. However, this final stretch offers a valuable opportunity—not only to finish strong, but also to set up the incoming Vice President Public Relations (VPPR) for continued success.

Now is the time to reflect on your club’s public relations efforts over the past year. What worked well? Which outreach efforts generated engagement, attracted guests, or showcased your club’s culture effectively? Identify those successes—and, if possible, repeat them with intention. At the same time, challenge yourself to take one bold step forward. Is there a new approach, platform, or idea you can try to further amplify your club’s visibility?

One of the most impactful PR strategies continues to be highlighting member achievements. Posts that feature member photos and accomplishments consistently draw strong engagement. To build on this success, consider creating a short, one-minute video that captures the energy of a recent meeting and invites others to experience your club firsthand. Encouraging members to like, comment, and share these posts can significantly expand your reach.

Remember, every PR effort—no matter how small—contributes to awareness. Never underestimate the power of personal invitations and word-of-mouth connections. As an example, I am currently focused on supporting membership growth within my own clubs through the Beat the Clock program. This initiative not only helps clubs work toward Distinguished status, but also creates momentum heading into the 2026–2027 program year.

As VPPRs, your role is vital in shaping how your club is seen and experienced by others. Let’s carry our momentum through June 30—finishing strong, celebrating progress, and ensuring a smooth and confident transition for those who will continue this important work.
