Speechcraft is a program designed for teaching public speaking skills to non-members and at the same time giving club members the opportunity to polish their speaking skills and grow in leadership whether as the Speechcraft Coordinator, Mentor of a Speech crafter participating, or taking a helping role during the Speechcraft Program.
The Program is 4 to 8 weeks at the choice of the Club putting on the Speechcraft Program and designed to increase club membership for low member clubs. I have been a Speechcraft Coordinator, assistant to the Speechcraft Coordinator, mentor to Speechcrafters, and doing roles at the Speechcraft meetings. Every program has always increased the club membership by one or more, helped members get projects done in their chosen Pathway in some way, and helped all involved to polish speaking skills and leadership in some way.
I have a PowerPoint that I have made that I am willing to send anyone that would like to use this for members to gain knowledge about the Speechcraft Program to consider putting on a Speechcraft Program at their Club. YouTube is another source to watch videos on the subject of Speechcraft and of course, the Toastmasters International Website plus the District Website. I am available to come help if you put on a Speechcraft in any role as I am doing right now at Super Communicators.
Remember the first 20 Clubs to put on a Speechcraft, District 6 will reimburse the cost of buying what is called a Bundle for 5 Speechcraft participants with the requirement that the Program is completed from start to finish which is the same requirement for the Speechcraft Coordinator to get credit towards their DTM. If you have more than 5 participants then you would need to purchase another Bundle. There is a separate what is called Speechcraft Portal specific for Speechcraft participants much like the Pathways Base Camp. If you have any questions, please reach out to me.
