As we move toward the final months of the Toastmasters program year, I want to thank every Vice President Public Relations (VPPR) who has worked diligently to keep their club visible and welcoming to the community. You may have had a team supporting your efforts this year—or perhaps you have been a team of one. Either way, thank you! Public relations is not a single moment; it is a year-long commitment to sharing the value of the Toastmasters experience.

For some clubs, maintaining awareness and attracting guests has been a natural rhythm. For others, it may have been more challenging to reach new audiences. Wherever your club stands, these remaining months offer an opportunity to refocus and reassess next steps. Revisit what worked in the past few months—and be willing to try something new or a bit “out of the box.” Here are three areas that may be useful as you move forward.

Highlight Your Club’s Unique Strength
Every club has something special—its niche. Perhaps it is a supportive learning environment, a professional networking focus, a themed club, or a specialty interest group. Share that identity consistently through your club announcements, social media, and community connections. When people understand what makes your club unique, they are more likely to visit.

Host a Signature Event
Consider organizing an open house, themed meeting, or guest day. Special events give you a natural reason to invite colleagues, friends, and community members. These gatherings often showcase the best of your club—engaging speakers, supportive evaluations, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Celebrate Milestones and Stories
Anniversaries, member achievements, and speech contests are all moments worth sharing. You might also capture short member testimonials—why they joined Toastmasters and how the experience has benefited them. These personal stories can be powerful when shared on your club website, social media, or event invitations, helping others see the real impact of Toastmasters.

As VPPR, you are the public voice of your club—your efforts help ensure that others can discover the life-changing opportunities that Toastmasters provides. Let’s keep our clubs visible and our message strong through June 30.
